Compared to the prior year, the number of eligible migratory children receiving instructional services and support services in 2020-21 decreased by 28% and 29%, respectively. These reductions were roughly proportionate to the 23% decrease in the category 1 count and reflected the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on mobility into the state as well as outreach and service delivery, which occurred remotely from Sept. 1, 2020 through June 2021.
