2019-2020 SOUTH DAKOTA 150 695 Performance Prior Year Rate Comparison (SEA): The SY 2019-20 Four-Year graduation rate is higher/lower by 3 percentage points or more than the SY 2018-19 Four-Year graduation rate for the following subgroups with total cohort counts of 500 students or more: ECODIS. Discrepancies by subgroup: - ECODIS: -6.34% While this may be correct, it is a larger change than we would typically expect to see. There were more ECODIS students in SY 2019-20 and fewer of them graduated as compared to SY 2018-19 data. This 6.34% decline in the number of graduates was likely due to the pandemic which resulted in shifting students to distance/online learning. Many low income families did not have access to internet or computers at home at the early onset of COVID-19 from March-May of 2020.
