2020-2021 ARIZONA 150, 151 695, 696 Performance Prior Year Count Comparison (LEA): Submitted data indicated that the ALL STUDENTS cohort count (grand total) changed by more than 10% and 50 students or more from SY 2019-20 to SY 2020-21 for 11 LEAs that have a cohort count of 250 students or more. While this may be correct, this is a larger change than we would typically expect to see. 3 LEAs are online schools that saw a major increase in the number of students enrolled at those schools due to COVID-19. As a result, their Cohort Count increased significantly. One LEA is comprised of three online schools which saw a major increase in the number of students enroll at the school due to COVID-19. As a result, their Cohort Count increased significantly. 2 LEAs experienced an increase in student enrollment which led to an increase in the size of Cohort 2021.

The data submitted accurately reflect the certified data reported by LEAs. Michigan's K12 migrant population decreased by 16% in SY 2020-21. The lower enrollment numbers in conjunction with the ongoing pandemic resulted in the year-over-year decrease.
2020-2021 PENNSYLVANIA 037 548 Participation Year to Year Comparison: The SEA data indicate a change of 155.9% between the current school year and the prior school year number of Migratory students participating and served by Title I, Part A schoolwide programs and targeted assistance programs (Category Set D). We believe that this was due to the general increase in the number of immigrant students into Pennsylvania that needed to be accomodated by Title I programs during the continuing pandemic.
