1 Description: The unduplicated statewide number of homeless students who were enrolled in public schools in local education agencies (LEAs) that received McKinney-Vento subgrants whose primary nighttime residence is in a hotel or motel.; Academic Year: 2012-13; Grade: N/A; Note: The unduplicated statewide number of homeless students who were enrolled in public schools in local education agencies (LEAs) that received McKinney-Vento subgrants whose primary nighttime residence is in a hotel or motel. The primary nighttime residence is defined as the type of residence where a homeless child or unaccompanied youth is staying at the time of enrollment or the type of residence where a currently enrolled child or youth is staying when he or she is identified as homeless. Primary nighttime residence is the primary basis for identifying homeless children and youth. This number does not include homeless students enrolled in LEAs without McKinney-Vento subgrants. The total includes students from age 3 to grade 12 and ungraded students. A dash (-) indicates that the data are missing or not available. The symbol "n <" indicates that the data has been suppressed due to a small count.; Source: EDFacts/Consolidated State Performance Report, 2012-13: http://www2.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/consolidated/index.html; Data Uploaded On: 09/19/2014

AZ: Totals will not equal the same amount because they may include duplicate students. The Arizona student information system collects an 'unknown' primary nighttime residence, of which 332 were reported in this reporting period. Additionally, 124 students were reported as having more than one grade during this reporting period. Arizona has also experienced 368 students who have more than one primary nighttime residence, this will be corrected in future reporting.
