1 Description: The total statewide number of long-term students who scored up to one full grade level higher on their post-tests than on their pre-tests in math while enrolled in a local education agency neglected program.; Academic Year: 2013-14; Grade: N/A; Note: The total statewide number of long-term students who scored up to one full grade level higher on their post-tests than on their pre-tests in math while enrolled in a local education agency neglected program.  This indicator is a sum of three indicators: students who improved up to 1/2 grade level, between ½ and 1 grade level and more than 1 grade level on their pre-post-tests. Note that Title I, Part D, programs and facilities have the flexibility to select the pre- and post-test assessments that are best suited to their populations.  Assessments are therefore not the same across the nation, and likely not the same between districts and States.  Due to this variation, comparisons of State reading and math data may not be appropriate.  A neglected program serves neglected children and youth and is a public or private residential facility, other than a foster home, that is operated primarily for the care of children who have been committed to the institution or voluntarily placed under applicable State law due to abandonment, neglect, or death of their parents or guardians.
