1 Description: The number of Title I schools in the state that have missed adequate yearly progress (AYP) for five consecutive years.; Academic Year: 2009-10; Grade: N/A; Note: The state-reported number of Title I schools that have missed adequate yearly progress (AYP) for five consecutive years. This is the fourth stage of the five improvement phases outlined under Section 1116 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Schools in this category must offer public school choice and supplemental educational services (SES), continue carrying out the corrective action identified in the previous year, and begin preparing for one of the restructuring options listed in the statute. Improvement statuses are projected based on the school's AYP status from the prior school year (e.g. 2009-10 improvement statuses are based on 2008-09 AYP determinations). A dash (-) indicates that the data are not available. There are no data for Indiana, because the state developed new improvement statuses under a differentiated accountability pilot that do not correspond with the existing improvement statuses. Due to missing values, national level data may not accurately represent national trends. ; Source: EDFacts/Consolidated State Performance Report, 2008-09: http://www2.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/consolidated/index.html; Data Uploaded On: 06/09/2010
