1 Description: The number of Asian and Pacific Islander students who form the adjusted cohort for the four-year regulatory adjusted cohort graduation rate.; Academic Year: 2013-14; Grade: N/A; Note: The cohort count for the four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate is the number of students who form the adjusted cohort for the graduating class. From the beginning of 9th grade (or the earliest high school grade), students who are entering that grade for the first time form a cohort that is “adjusted” by adding any students who subsequently transfer into the cohort and subtracting any students who subsequently transfer out, emigrate to another country, or die. 2010-11 was the first year that states were required to use the regulatory cohort rate, so data prior to that year are not necessarily comparable to the regulatory rates. While the ACGR is more comparable across states than previous rates, there are still some differences in state implementation of the requirements, leading to the potential for differences across in how the rates are calculated. The Asian/Pacific Islander value represents either the value reported by the state to the Department of Education for the major racial and ethnic group “Asian/Pacific Islander” or an aggregation of values reported by the state for the major racial and ethnic groups “Asian,” “Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander or Pacific Islander,” and “Filipino.” Note that if the state only reported one of the three aforementioned major racial and ethnic groups, the calculated Asian/Pacific Islander value will equal the one reported value. A dash (-) indicates that the data are not available. Cell with a "">"" or ""<"" next to the value indicate that the value has been blurred, and is greater than or less than the value listed. An ""n<"" means that the value has been suppressed. A ""†"" symbol means not applicable.; Source: EDFacts/Consolidated State Performance Report, 2013-14: http://www2.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/consolidated/index.html; Data Uploaded On: 10/30/2015
