This indicator is a sum of three indicators: students who improved up to 1/2 grade level, between ½ and 1 grade level and more than 1 grade level on their pre-post-tests. Note that Title I, Part D, programs and facilities have the flexibility to select the pre- and post-test assessments that are best suited to their populations. Assessments are therefore not the same across the nation, and likely not the same between districts and States. Due to this variation, comparisons of State reading and math data may not be appropriate. Other programs include any other programs, not otherwise defined, which receive Title I, Part D funds and serve non-adjudicated children and youth.
