1 Description: The statewide number of homeless unaccompanied youth who were served by McKinney-Vento subgrants during the regular school year.; Academic Year: 2011-12; Grade: N/A; Note: The statewide number of homeless unaccompanied youth who were served by McKinney-Vento subgrants during the regular school year. Students served includes homeless children who have been served in any way through McKinney-Vento funds. Services include both direct services, as outlined in the McKinney-Vento Act, and indirect services, such as those provided by a staff member whose position is supported through McKinney-Vento funds. McKinney-Vento grants support state efforts to provide equal access to free and appropriate public education to homeless students and to gather information about those students and their needs.
