Note: The total statewide number of long-term students testing below grade level in math upon entry into a local education agency at risk program. Long-term students are those who have been enrolled in a program for 90 or more consecutive calendar days. Only pre-test data are required to determine grade level upon entry; long-term students who have either pre- and post-test data or pre-test-only data may be included in this item. An at risk program targets students who are at risk for academic failure, have a drug or alcohol problem, are pregnant or parenting, have been in contact with the juvenile justice system in the past, are at least 1 year behind the expected age/grade level, have limited English proficiency, are gang members, have dropped out of school in the past, or have a high absenteeism rate at school. A dash (-) indicates that the data are missing or not available. The symbol "n <" indicates that the data has been suppressed due to a small count. A "†" symbol means not applicable.
