Steps for downloading the data you need (For more details, go to FAQs)

  1. Use the filters to the left to choose your data of interest (Tip: For File Specification and Data Group filters, hover over titles for more information)
  2. Select "RESET FILTERS" at any time to return to the default filters
  3. Once you have selected the data you need, click on the "DOWNLOAD DATA" button to download CSV and data notes. Your data will export immediately.

Note that State educational agencies (SEAs) may have changed their requirements for a regular high school diploma to account for the impact of COVID-19. Changes to requirements for a regular high school diploma are at the discretion of the SEA. The Department advises caution when interpreting changes in school year 2019-2020 and school year 2020-2021 data as prior year data may be less comparable. The state notes in all sections of ED Data Express reflect the views of the state only and do not necessarily reflect compliance with requirements or consistency with reporting instructions.

2020-2021 ALABAMA 150, 151 695, 696 SEA Prior Year Rate Comparison (SEA): The SY 2020-21 Four-Year graduation rate is higher/lower by 3 percentage points or more than the SY 2019-20 Four-Year graduation rate for the following subgroups with total cohort counts of 500 students or more: LEP, CWD. Discrepancies by subgroup: - LEP: 3.87% - CWD: 4.19% The State indicated data are accurate as reported.
2020-2021 ALASKA 150, 151 695, 696 SEA Prior Year Count Comparison (SEA): Submitted data indicated that the total cohort count (grand total) changed by more than 10% (and more than 250 students) from SY 2019-20 to SY 2020-21 for the following subgroups: ECODIS. Discrepancies by subgroup: -ECODIS: -421 students, or -10.58% While this may be correct, this is a larger change than we would typically expect to see. The Department's ability to detect economic disadvantaged status was impacted by the lack of National School Lunch Program data due to the pandemic.

2020-2021 ARIZONA 150, 151 695, 696 SEA Prior Year Count Comparison (SEA): Submitted data indicated that the total cohort count (grand total) changed by more than 10% (and more than 250 students) from SY 2019-20 to SY 2020-21 for the following subgroups: LEP, MA, MM. Discrepancies by subgroup: -LEP: 963 students, or 23.75% -MA: 312 students, or 13.11% -MM: -1182 students, or -31.2% While this may be correct, this is a larger change than we would typically expect to see. At the start of the 2020-2021 school year ADE changed the way the MM subgroup was being reported. This was due to an error in the code that led to an over counting of MM students. Correcting this error explains the drop in the number of MM students in this Cohort.
2020-2021 ARIZONA 150, 151 695, 696 SEA Prior Year Rate Comparison (SEA): The SY 2020-21 Four-Year graduation rate is higher/lower by 3 percentage points or more than the SY 2019-20 Four-Year graduation rate for the following subgroups with total cohort counts of 500 students or more: ECODIS, HOM, MAN, MHL. Discrepancies by subgroup: - ECODIS: -3.03% - HOM: -7.39% - MAN: -4.52% - MHL: -3.28% Covid-19 lead to a drop in the graduation rate statewide of 2-3%. The subgroups mentioned tend to be more marginalized than the rest of the state and were impacted especially hard by COVID-19.
2020-2021 BUREAU OF INDIAN EDUCATION 151, 150 695, 696 LEA, SCH, SEA Due to concerns with data quality, Four-Year ACGR data (FS150/DG695, FS151/DG696) have been suppressed for all levels for SY2020-2021.
2020-2021 CALIFORNIA 150, 151 695, 696 SEA Prior Year Count Comparison (SEA): Submitted data indicated that the total cohort count (grand total) changed by more than 10% (and more than 250 students) from SY 2019-20 to SY 2020-21 for the following subgroups: FCS. Discrepancies by subgroup: -FCS: -2105 students, or -26.03% While this may be correct, this is a larger change than we would typically expect to see. The State indicated data are accurate as reported.
