Steps for downloading the data you need (For more details, go to FAQs)

  1. Use the filters to the left to choose your data of interest (Tip: For File Specification and Data Group filters, hover over titles for more information)
  2. Select "RESET FILTERS" at any time to return to the default filters
  3. Once you have selected the data you need, click on the "DOWNLOAD DATA" button to download CSV and data notes. Your data will export immediately.

 

Due to current system issues, datasets must be limited to fewer than 150,000 rows. A selection of data greater than 150,000 rows may result in a truncated dataset. We discovered an error in our calculations and have resubmitted the data files for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years. We tried to resubmit for 2019-20, but were unable to do so.
2021-2022 ALASKA 138 675 SEA The State reported 14% of English learners not participating in the annual ELP assessment; however, the requirement is that all ELs are assessed. There are variety of reasons that students may not have tested. The three most cited reasons for not taking the ELP assessment are 2, 3, and 4 in the full list of reasons below: 1 = Transferred to a different school within the district during the test window and missed the dates that the tests were given within the schools of enrollment 2= Exited or entered district during the test window and missed the dates that the tests were given in the district 3 = Absent during the test period and during periods of opportunity for makeup tests. 4 = Parent and/or student refusal to participate 5 = District did not receive English Learner identification and ELP assessment information from the previous district as part of the student records and was unaware that the student was identified as an English Learner 6 = Student was misidentified or miscoded as an English Learner, and the district has conferred with the department about the cause(s) of the misidentification 7 = District oversight 8 = Student enrollment occurred on or after March 1, 2019 and initial English Learner identification occurred after March 1, 2019 9 = Other reason (a reason must be listed in the notes field) 10= Kindergarten student was proficient on listening and speaking domains of the screener in the fall, but was not proficient on writing and reading in the spring.
