2020-2021 NEW HAMPSHIRE 145 684 Participation Year to Year Comparison: The total number of eligible migratory students enrolled in public schools during the regular school year changed by 25% or more between the current year and the prior school year. The data are correct. NH is a small state, changes to our numbers appear bigger when compared as a percent change. Since COVID began in 2020 our numbers have been decreasing. During the 20-21 year both of NH's full time staff were personally impacted by COVID long term issues and this is reflected in the lower numbers of students served during this time period.
2020-2021 OHIO 145 684 Participation Year to Year Comparison: The total number of eligible migratory students enrolled in public schools during the regular school year changed by 25% or more between the current year and the prior school year. The increase between the 2019-2020 data and the 2020-2021 data has been verified as correct. The significant increase in the number of served migrant children can be attributed in part to offering a school-based summer migrant education program this year as opposed to only offering remote learning last year due to the COVID pandemic.
2020-2021 SOUTH CAROLINA 145 684 Participation Year to Year Comparison: The total number of eligible migratory students enrolled in public schools during the regular school year changed by 25% or more between the current year and the prior school year. The data are accurate. This significant increase is due in part ot the significant increase in the total number of eligible migratory children idnetifed in the 2020-21 school year, as compared to the 2019-20 school year. In addition, the increased number of in staff in the Migrant Education office accounted for the capacity and reach to serve more migrtory children in the 2020-21 school year.
